BCMS Girls Basketball will have an informational meeting for parents to meet the coaches and learn more about open gym and tryouts for the 25-26 season on April 15th at 5:00PM in the BCMS gym.
Open gym will follow for 6th/7th/8th grade players from 5:15 to 7:15.

BCMS Football will host an information meeting this afternoon, April 2nd at 5:30 in the BCMS cafeteria for parents of any student interested in playing for the 2025 season. Dates, times and requirements for spring and summer practices will be given. KHSAA physicals are required before April 14th to participate in any team activities.


The BCMS and BCHS Trojan choirs invite you to their Performance Assessment Preview Concert tomorrow, April 1st, at 7:00 p.m. at the Glasgow Baptist Church.


Barren County Middle School would like to invite parents of 2025-26 BCMS 7th graders to attend our 7th Grade Parent University on Thursday evening May 1st at 5:30PM. We look forward to seeing parents and helping students with the transition to middle school. You will be receiving more information at a later date.

April Caregiver's Meeting


Caverna Independent Schools in parnership with Cyber Safe Schools invites you to join them on the evening of Monday, March 31st for a community and parent workshop on the dangers of social media!. This informational session will include a presentation on Internet Safety and tips for keeping children safe while they are online.
Topic: The Dangers of Social Media Date: Monday, March 31 Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Location: Cave City Area Conference Center This event is FREE and a meal will be provided. Please RSVP by Friday, March 28.

4H Summer Camp for ages 9-14 will be May 27th-30th. Cost of the camp is $200 if you register by April 4th; after that date the cost is $250. $50 is due with registration.


Due to the weather predicted tomorrow, we felt that it was safest for everyone if we postponed the Beta Spring Fling Dance. We will now have the dance from 5-7 pm on on Friday, March 28th. We apologize for the inconvenience.


Students in Ms. Dalton's 8th grade agriculture class have spent 2 weeks learning basic plumbing skills. The unit incudes how plumbing systems work, drawing plumbing schematics, learning plumbing fittings and how they function, how to use a tape measure, how to use a hand saw, and how to read a schematic to assemble a plumbing simulation. The simulations were tested to see if they worked or if they leaked.





The BCMS Orchestra brought home good news on Wednesday. They had traveled to Bowling Green earned a Distinguished rating from the Kentucky Music Educators Association! We are so proud of the dedication and hard work these students and their conductor, Ms. Mariah Matthews, put into their music.


Reminder: BCMS Beta will be hosting a Spring Fling Dance on March 15th from 5-7 pm. Tickets will be $10 per person and can be purchased in Mrs. Earls room starting March 10 and running through March 13th. Tickets may only be purchased in morning and afternoon homeroom. School dress code applies. We will be selling drinks, chips, pizza, dippin dots, and hand spun cotton candy. The dance is only open to BCMS students. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Earls. We hope to see you there!
